Well, well, well. Yet another long-overdue-post by me. First off, my wife and I have been getting our military fix by watching the new show "Generation Kill". Great show, might be a bit too coarse for some but if your watching HBO already then you shouldn't be complaining. Its not censored (meaning that its actually a true story from an embedded reporter with a recon team during the start of the recent war in Iraq). This show is one of the best shows I have ever seen. I love the military humor. On a more liberal side, my wife and I both just got iPhones. DISCLAIMER: "I am NOT a mac fanboy...I do not own a mac and I usually hide my POSITIVE opinions of apple products whenever possible in fear that a mac user might actually find out". That said, the iPhone is single handedly the most impressive piece of technology I have ever owned. As sad and pathetic as this may sound, it has changed my life. Last but not least, Siggraph was last week in L.A. We had a blast. We stayed with a buddy in a house on Manhattan beach. Amazing. Well, thats all I got for now. Take care and please for god sake dont tell any mac users that I bought an iPhone.

Fire, Fire, Fire!
Dude. Fireworks, fire arms, and fire water (alcohol). All I have to say is this is going to be the best 4th of July EVER! If not the most interesting. We are heading to Oregon to visit some of the fam for the holiday and I love spending that time corrupting the younger ones with good ol' American shenanigans. Four more years! Kidding. But seriously, you might ask yourself "whats worse than getting your nephews a bag of fireworks and a gun....the answer is a bag of fireworks and 2 guns!" Holy crap my wife and I are the worst aunt/uncle of all time. Before you go and get you undies in a bunch the fireworks are safe...they are the "pull the string and pop" crap that you hated when you were an older kid but I think they are young enough to appreciate it. The guns are an air soft gun (shoots little rubber yellow bb's...very cool) and the other is a standard plastic suction cup gun from Chinatown (wont last long, almost as much fun but 1/6 the price). Its gonna be good times lemme tell ya. Speaking of Aunts and Uncles, mine just visited about a month ago from Michigan which was a blast. Hmmm...what else has happened...oh yeah I was one of the winners for the CGtalk hardcore modeling challenge (movie robots). I did a sentinel from the matrix. Other than that LucasFilm is going great (movie comes out soon so theres lots of hype). Ummm, yeah...I am going to go play with my new airsfot gun (yes I bought one for myself too...SHUT IT!). By the way, I got the idea to buy guns from the owner of the Orphanage (Stu Maschewitzzzzz137*$& ...not sure how to spell yer last name Stu but if your reading I thank you for the airsoft tip in your movie book and the wife hates you...kidding...sadly she likes it to). Ok, seriously, I have to go shoot things. Later!

Umm..long time no post...
Hey everyone! So I have been back from Singapore for a very long time now but I never posted because I am a slacker. The trip was amazing. Anna and I had a blast and when I returned she had a party/late-thanksgiving with all of my friends. It was great. Other than that I am just plugging away at good ol' LucasFilm. A good friend of mine, Punn, is now in Singapore for the Jedi Masters program as well. He's rockin' it. Roger is tearin' it up at IMD with Anna and Shan is crying in the bathroom at lunch...kidding! Hes kickin butt too. Last but not least, Adam recently joined the Weta team in New Zealand. So him and Shan can both cry in the bathroom together. HA! Ok, Im out. More interesting stuff still to come.

I am currently serving as a LucasFilm Animation instructor for another week and a half and then back to the US for some much more needed Star Wars action before the holidays. While I will miss both Christmas parties (for the US company as well as the Singapore branch) and my birthday (wipes tear from eye) I dont regret one minute of this wonderful experience. Its like the AirForce all over again. As it stands I am posting this message from a laptop in my very quiet hotel room. My wife Anna was here with me in the beginning, however, she has returned to the states to start her new job at IM Digital! Yes. you read it right...she is working with the Doug Chiang (umm...star wars..) and Robert Zemeckis' (Back to the Future). It is a very exciting time for us, especialy since a very close friend of ours (Roger) works there as well. Speaking of close friends, Shannon will be taking vacation from Weta in New Zealand to visit us next week in San Fran. In fact as soon as I get off the plane we are all scheduled to party together (I cant wait to kick his ass in 1080P with the xbox 360 on my new plasma). Anyways, its going to be very exciting, that is if I can hold up from the jet lag (Singapore is 16 hours ahead of the states....right now it is 5:41 am Thursday morning in the US and it is 9:41 PM Thursday evening in Singapore). Yes I am actually in the future. Ok I am a dork. Last but not least I finally got a chance to see some work that a very good friend of mine (Adam) did for DreamWorks on Bee Movie. It was amazing! Great job buddy! Also, another close friend of ours (Grant) had has a TON of work featured in the recently released Area 51 game....yet another game to buy to kick my friends tail in. If you guys are reading this you can get me xbox 360 controlers for christmass so I can crush you when you come over. Man I am laying t on thick. Anyways, I miss home and cant wait to see my wife, friends, and family over the holiday season. Take care and wish me luck when playing Shan on xbox.

Staff at Lucas!
Well its official. I have recently transitioned into a full time staff position at Lucasfilm Animation. Needless to say I am very happy. Sadly I wont be able to tear it up on Ironman with some of my bro's at the Orphanage but I am sure our paths will cross again in the future. Speaking of the Orphanage, Anna starts there September 4th on "Red Cliff" which is very cool. You can find a plethera of information online about the epic tail and the Orphange's ties with the movie itself. As for Lucasfilm, its been absolutely spectacular! Words cannot even begin to describe what its like to work for this company. Amazing. Simply amazing. I am really learning alot from all of the talent there. Its also nice to get the opportunity to work with some of the dudes I have looked up to in this industry and that inspire me to raise the bar. All in all my wife and I are both pretty excited for the upcoming year. Well, thats all I got for now. Take care and if any of you are attending Siggraph this week please feel free to share your photos in the forum since I am too busy to make it myself.
