Thanks a lot Rog.

The hair is a straight export from Mudbox, its about 200,000 polys. The clothing was the same, no displacement, just used the actual model, they weren't that high res. The eyes were rendered in a separate pass. Rendered the displacements just as you would from Zbrush, using the Mental Ray Approx. Editor. Though, since I only esported a 16-bit map, I have to crunch the values in Photoshop. Then I used that same old technique of playing with the color balance values. I only had to use like .475 and -.24. I also rendered out an occlusion pass. I can show you my technique when I come up next weekend.

Monkey's huggin!

Shannon,

This looks great. Th attention to detail is amazing. It makes me think that I would like to see it animated to tome Waits' "Frank's Wild Years" song. I did an animation to that song back in 1997 and always wanted to redo it. If you have any inclination that you would like to see him animated to that great piece of dialogue, let me know. Im sure the strangeness of his face could compliment the words very well. Check it out!!

Kristoff- Yeah man, would be cool to see him animated. Let me know what you need. I ended up using a base mesh for my exported maps that is 180,00 polys. I have a lower mesh somewhere if you need it.

Landis- Thanks man. As always, Mi knowledge es su knowledge. See ya in a week. We'll need some Stella.

and i'm not fluent in spanish, but i think "mi knowledge es su knowledge" needs more vowels. And maybe a tilde. I like tildes. but then, i'm still drunk from my birthday last night. haha.
