Hey everyobody! If you have been to the theatre lately you probably already know about this by now but basically the Fantastic Four 2 trailer and the Spiderman 3 trailer is now screening in theatres. For Fantastic Four 2 I was a Fire Technical Director on the Human Torch (I did the fire simulation for the shot just before the human torch flies between the 2 semi's and the shot where he flies out from between them). I also worked on the rig for one of the semi trucks as well. For Spiderman 3 I had the oppertunity to work with some very talented people on a couple of environments within the film (the most obvious one in the trailer is the background in the part where Spiderman is holding the Sandmans head up to the train). There is quite a bit more that will be in the film so make sure you go and see it when it comes out. Its going to be pretty cool. Also, Mimzy is now called The Last Mimzy and that trailer is out as well (see my last post for details). If you havent made it out to theatres in a while you can watch all of these trailers and more on Apple's website....even in HD! Last but certainly not least, I now have a new job. As of yesterday I am officially working at the Orphanage. They worked on Pirates of the Carribean, Sin City, Hell Boy, The Day After Tommorow, and many others. The Orphanage has a strong reputation in the industry for being extremely hard working professinals that love making movies as much as people love watching them so I am obviously very honored to join the team.
