Anna's new job, 2 new scripts, and more!

Well, it hasn't been very long since my last update, however, I have some exciting new stuff to share! First off, Anna starts her new job at tweak films next week! Her and I are of course very excited. She is finishing up a couple of commercials this week and then off to the movies!! She rocks! In other news, as promised I posted 2 new modeling tools (mel scripts) I developed for the San Francisco project. The first one, LFcutpolyTool, does just what it might sound like...it cuts polys. Basically you select the edgeloop/s or faces that you want to cut from the mesh and run the script. Sure beats duplicating the mesh and deleting those faces you don't want (yes Adam I used to do that too and so did everybody else...until now!). Last but not least, the most significant script, LFdrawpolyTool. Much like the other script (and all of my scripts for that matter) it too does exactly what its title explains...it draws polys, but this is no ordinary poly script. LFdrawpolyTool draws in all quads AND it has a "resurfacing" feature which allows a user to draw an all-quad-mesh accross the surface of another on-the-fly! As some of you may know, this is a very common task within the visual effects industry for generating computer based models from scan data of existing props, actors, bigatures, etc. Other scripts and programs that do the same thing are EXTREMELY expensive, so, yes, this is a very big tool to just be offering for free, but hey, what can I say....I love this stuff! Both tools can currently be found in their respective support/release thread within the forum by clicking on their names within this post. Well, thats all I got for now. Keep checking in and as always, thanks for stopping by.
