Digital Art Masters!

First off I just got back from vacation in Phoenix. It was great. I had alot of fun especially with my nephews Jake and Harley. The really cool thing is that just before heading off to the airport on saturday I recieved a package in the mail....it was the Digital Art Masters Book (see below)!

Click here for a peek at the Digital Art Masters Book!

Thats right...its finally out! It was soo cool to be able to bring it with me to show the fam. You can now see the first generation AIRMAN (he has been completely remodeled since then) in the Book as well as a sneek peek of the the WORM back when he was still being developed. Oh, before I forget, the book is available for purchase at www.3DTotal.com! If you cant tell I am pretty excited. It really is a great book sporting some excellent pieces by some very talented artists...its truly an honor to share the spotlight with those guys. Anyways, be sure to check it out. Its nice because instead of just showcasing nice work it also goes into how each piece was created as well as other techniques employed by the artists themselves. Now, if you are freeking out because of me commenting on remodeling the AIRMAN dont worry...its cool...he had ALOT of issues (mostly structural) that would have caused problems while rigging but all of that is fixed now and I have already started rigging the little guy so you can count on some shweeeet eye candy with him soon. As for the WORM I am still working on what I can and cant share with all of you as far as fextivals are concerned...so please just keep checking in.

It's done!

Ohhhh yeah! I have just finished my first short film. The whole Worm team really pulled through. My wife even had to bust out a couple of "all nighters" herself. In the end it was ofcourse totally worth it to see the look on peoples faces when they were watching it. Unfortunately I cannot post it on the site due to various film festival rules. Bah! The good news is that I am pretty sure its cool to show some beauty shots here and there so as soon as my wife gets the go-ahead on that I will start posting. Until then keep checking in.
In other news, the Digital Art Masters book is about to hit the shelves some time this month so be on the look out for my section regarding my work on the AIRMAN and WORM. Lastly, Shannon Thomas (a buddy of mine who built the truck on WORM) just got picked up by Rythym & Hues this week! We were all very excited to see him drive off into the moon light last night after our celebration/good bye dinner but I have to say its a little sad to see the first of many more to fly from the nest...its what I had anticipated all along and it's ultimately a good thing but sad nonetheless. The cool thing is that I am almost certain that we will all end up working together on a project in the future...atleast thats my hope...whether from the same studio or not. I dont know, to me its all about the journey's you take and who you take them with...thats what truly dictates what you get from it in the end...not the materialistic aspects of the job (such as pay, recognition, etc.) but the experience you walk away with...we have all agreed that you just cant put a price on that. I just hope we all find what we are looking for...If not then I am sure we will all get together and ceate it. LOL. Anywho, I wish the Shan-ster the best of luck in is endeavors...I know he will do great....oh...and I hope that he doesnt get too many speeding tickets in his brand new dream car. If your reading this man well done. Ok, enough jibber jabber, back to work for me...I got a ton of homework to catch up on and then on to that dreaded inbox of mine...I got unanswered emails coming out of my ears....this project pretty much detached me from reality for about 6 months. LOL. Take care everyone and keep checking in for WORM eye candy.
