Back to school!

"I've got my back-pack on, my shoes tied tight...",
Adam Sandler

Oh yes. Its that time once again boys and girls. Back to school. I am hoping to be able to get into a couple of workshops this semester as well...mainly Adrians mel workshop. I really need to finish up this little bundle of joy (script) I have been wrenching on at night....its VERY cool...cant wait to unleash it on all of you. So what classes you guys got? A buddy of mine from GKR (he now works at ILM) is signed up for a 4 year masterclass program...classical training...sounds very exciting. He is one of the guys from the conceptart.org team. Great dude. In other news since my last post I have done modeling, matte painting, and am now doing FX Animation at GKR! Man working with FX animation makes you feel pretty powerful. I cant tell all of you how much fun I am having. For those of you who dont know it is a very rare thing to be allowed to work on multiple phases of the production...which is why I really wanted to work at GKR. I am really having a blast working there. I have learned SOOOOO much. That reminds me, Adam Ely let me in on a great site for those of you out there that truly love movies as an art form (not just for the special effects but for the storytelling aspects, composition, etc.) ...the site is http://www.hollywoodsaloon.com/. Last but not least Roger has been tearing up the turtle in zbrush so he should probably be posting something in the forum some time soon. Also, you may already know by now but Shannon finished his Chesney Baker mudbox sculpture . It really did turn out great...in fact I like the results/interface from Mudbox so much that I plan to use it on the AIRMAN. This semester I am going to cook up a comparison tutorial between mudbox and zbrush.

Hey Landis,

Seems like it's been forever since I've visited your site. School has started for myself as well. My physiology class is keeping me pretty busy.

Anyhoo, I just thought I'd drop by and say hi.
