WORM PUSH + Leaf Update!

Hey all! I am pretty happy with the apple at this point. I "fixed" the leaf, however, I am sure that I will fine tune it quite a bit more later, anyways, heres what I got as of now...

In other news I have begun..."The Push". After many, many, MANY drafts on paper I have unleashed the ultimate chore onto the little guy....thats right...I hate to say it but he's finally behind the boulder.

Anyways, I hope you all enjoy it. I should have some more stuff for all of you either later tonite or tommorow morning. Man, its amazing how much stuff I get done inbetween semesters!

Apple Update!

Ok, the apple no longer looks as though it has acne...lol. I got rid of the ol' temporary texture (see previous post) and slapped on the real deal (click link below).

Also, Roger has been cranking away at the environment and I have to tell you it is really looking nice. We have been firing scene files back and forth over email all day. I actually think this might turn out better than I had expected...lol. I have had faith in the project all along...its just that it feels so good to finally see it all taking shape. Anyways, I am off to rig the apple (I'm thinking IK spline for the stem & leaf controled via nurbs icons that back door clusters....ahh yes....I think I am actually starting to get the hang of this).

Apple!

Almost done with the apple and I thought I'd share a test render with all of you. The stem is low res and is polygonal at this point but tonite I plan to texture it for the subD conversion. Oh...I almost forgot...I still owe you guys a playblast of the worm doing a take...better get on that. Until then heres the apple...

Click here for Apple test render.

I also plan to fix sme bugs on the site this weekend....I have had some complaints regarding animations not playing on various browsers. I will do all I can to fix the problem.

WORM Anatomy Video!

Hey everyone! I've been VERY busy with finals but I thought I'd take the time to quickly touch bases with all of you. The WORM's rig is almost finshed and I am working on blocking out a take right now! Its pretty cool to actually breathe life into the little guy after all the hard work I put into creating him. Anyways, the take is a part of my final so that wont be done till next week but until then I have uploaded a short video (MPEG 4/ 2.8 mb) regarding the rig as well as the WORM's anatomy.

Click here for WORM Anatomy video.

As a side note, I have quite decent pile of new stuff to share with all of you that I plan to upload as soon as finals are over (next week), so, as always keep checking in.
